Ingredients

INGREDIENTS: Tomato, Tomato Purée, Water, Onion (8%), Red Peppers (6%), Sugar, Coriander, Modified Maize Starch, Lemon Juice from Concentrate, Ginger Purée, Cumin, Salt, Dried Garlic, Ground Coriander, Cumin Seeds, Chilli Powder, Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid), Fennel, Turmeric.

Preparation and Usage

Jalfrezi Curry.

Serves 4

Cooking time: For Chicken 12-18 minutes. For Roasted Vegetables 37 minutes.

Method: Hob or Oven.

Ingredients: 400g diced chicken breast or 480g mixed roasted vegetables such as butternut squash, aubergine and peppers, 1 jar of Tesco Jalfrezi Cooking Sauce, 15ml (1tbsp) of vegetable oil.

Method:

  1.  Heat the oil in a pan, add the chicken and fry for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned. If you are using vegetable, cut into 4cm cubes and roast in a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes at 180°C/160°C Fan/Gas 3 or until browned.

2. If you are using vegetables, add the vegetables to a pan stir in the jar of sauce. Heat for 5-7 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and hot.

3. If you are using chicken, stir in the jar of sauce, cover pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally.

To Serve: Serve with rice or naan bread.
